I made the Chocolate No-Bake Silk Pie last night for dessert. The recipe is on page 464 of Robin Robertson's book "1,000 Vegan Recipes". I should say I made it in the afternoon, because it has to chill 3-4 hours to set up. It was very easy to make, required few ingredients, and was DELICIOUS! It tasted like a dark chocolate pie, but just a tad sweeter. It was smooth and creamy, and you do not taste the cashews at all in it. Nor the tofu. I had two servings of it right away. Took one serving of it, and had to have another, it was that good. I urge you to try it. You will only dirty your half cup measuring cup and your blender to make this pie. And a bowl to melt the chocolate chips in. (I microwaved mine). Creamy and delicious and oh so decadently chocolately, but definitely more like dark chocolate than milk chocolate. This is definitely a "make again" pie!
Happy Eating!

What To Do?

Hi Everybody!
I'm taking a break from cleaning up my studio. I've got to get it cleaned up so I can start my dad's Yosemite wall-hanging.
I'm also thinking of doing the Julie/Julia thing - doing the Robin/Robin thing with Robin Robertson's "1000 Vegan Recipes", giving myself 2 years to get through all the recipes. Today I'm going to make her Chocolate silk pie. So I've got to get it going soon, so that it can sit in the refrigerator for the rest of the day. Would you all have any interest in my doing these recipes?
This blog will catalog my days, my dogs, my family, and my views and my ART. Today I'm going to add my picture, and one of my collages made this past May.
